This Powerful Somatic Hour-long breathwork meditation will leave you feeling Relaxed and Energized simultaneously. Experience this Soul-Shifting routine where you implement the power of visualization, breathwork & humming to produce not only a state of deep serenity, but also Nitric Oxide (NO) by stimulating the nasal cavity.
Nitric Oxide has many different physical benefits including;
- Lowers Blood Pressure
- Boost Exercise Performance
- May help with Type II Diabetes
- May help with Erectile Dysfunction
According to peer-reviewed studies, endogenous Nitric Oxide Production is significantly increased after humming compared to simple nasal breathing.
It is because of these benefits that the “Hum for Health” Breathwork Routine was created, to provide a solid workout for the respiratory system while creating moments of prolonged humming and deep meditation.
At the end of this Powerful Session, You’ll feel Relaxed, Energized, and Deeply Calm.
Hum for Health Breathwork Dynamics:
The “Hum for Health Breathwork routine is broken into several different parts and activities.
The Pillar Breath Meditation is the first visualization of the routine in where you sit up straight in a meditative position and follow the breathwork cues. The meditation will guide you through a visualization where two beams of light pass through your body. One extending from the outer edges of the cosmos, while the other eminantes from the very core of earth. This visualization will allow your mind to fully immerse itself within the following dynamics. The entire meditation lasts between 10-15 minutes.
Hum for Health Sequences follow this initial meditation. Each sequence consists of thirty rapid even breaths which ends with a deep inhalation and a minute of humming. After this concludes, there are ten recovery breaths prior to initiating the next sequence. There are a total of five sequences which will generate five minutes of humming. The breathwork leading up to the humming helps you purge CO2 levels in the body, which will allow you to Hum for longer without needing to take a recovery breath, even though recovery breaths are also worked into the sequence.
Ujjayi Breathing Sequence (Oceanic Breath) follow the Humming rounds which consist of deep slow breathing completley through the nose. This lasts for ten minutes and will relax the body after the effort during the previous sequence.
We end the routine with a Silent Meditation that lasts for roughly 5-minutes. At the end, it is recommended to simply take a few minutes of complete silent meditation, to focus in on the energy inside of your body.
Binuaral Breathwork
In order to create an even more immersive experience, this breathwork routine utilizes binaural beats to help guide your mind to a more resourceful state. During the Humming Rounds, we’re utilizing Alpha brain waves to help keep you alert and focused, while at the Oceanic Breathing Sequences we’re tapping into Theta Waves, which allows you to connect with your intuition and deep self.
It is recommended doing this breathwork using headphones and in a place where you won’t be desturbed.
Optimize your Breathwork Experience
This breathwork can be done alone or in groups. If you’re going to be doing this by yourself, there are a couple of things you can do to make the experience even more immersive.
- Create a Space where you won’t be desturbed (a place where you can hum and no one will look as if you have gone mental)
- Setting an intention helps! Framing the experience will tell your mind to pay attention and focus the session
- Don’t do it on a full stomach – for breathwork, the best is to do it on an empty stomach but not being hungry. Roughly 2-3 hours after eating a heavy meal you should be able to do this breathwork routine without discomfort.
- Make your space dark! If you create a space with low external stimuli, you allow the mind to truly focus inward.
- Have some water! You’re going to be breathing, sometimes that can make you a bit thirsty. Having some water on hand is great to quench the thirst and jump right back into the routine.
- Don’t push yourself! If you are finding it a tad bit too difficult to follow the sequences, go at your own pace. Listen to your body!
- Invite friends – While this session does use binaural beats, you can also invite people to breathe with you. When people get together to breathe, that’s where the real magick happens!
